Julie Anderson, Editor

Julie Anderson came to County Progress in 1996 as a freelance writer. She took the editor's post in April 2000 - a job she thoroughly enjoys!

Julie is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Abilene Christian University in 1989. After graduation, she worked as a reporter for the Abilene Reporter-News, where she reported on city government and managed her own section titled Job Market.

Her other experience includes working as an editorial assistant on a medical textbook and monthly medical journal.

Julie takes on periodic freelance writing assignments, and she published her first book, designed for a women's Bible study, in 1999.

She currently resides in Odessa with her husband, Lane, a fifth-grade teacher, and her two sons, Luke and Jake.
